Dangerous to file by yourself…You can get in to see an attorney for a free first visit and see if they can help you. You had to have received other notification that the house was being foreclosed on. An attorney can work with you and tell you what you need to do to ease some money up and file the chapter 13. Most of the time with a foreclosure, they can do what they call an emergency filing, which would stop the foreclosure from happening. You need to get on the phone and get in to see someone now! Don’t do this by yourself! One wrong move in filing and the case is dismissed and can be an even bigger nightmare for you. Good Luck!
I have not found any online, most are at least $199. You can file for free, but if there are any issues you can get into a mess very quickly. Don’t forget many of the test are open to interpretation, so building your case is very important. I would try to negotiate with a few lawyers and see if you can get them to compete on price. Especially if your case is simple, they should be able to reduce their prices.
Don’t file on line. If you need to get a BR lawyer, then just go to this site below to find one. If you do it on line, you may have alot of trouble and if something ever happens, then you will have major problems. At least if you have a lawyer, you will be able to contact them anytime.
